WINDY has been well received throughout Asia, including Tokyo, Kyoto, Fukuoka, Shanghai, Beijing, Macau and Thailand. She headlined the Dakar- Gorree Jazz festival in Senegal in 2016 and 2018.
WINDY has been featured extensively on tour with the highest grossing balladeer in the world, JULIO IGLESIAS. She has traveled the world many times over with one of the most imitated, respected and endearing singer/songwriter/musician of the 21st century, STEVIE WONDER. In addition, she stopped the show night after night while performing the steamy duet “We’re Not Making Love Anymore” with one of the most soulful Rock turned R&B singer ever, MICHAEL BOLTON.
It stands to reason why the unique vocal stylings of WINDY BARNES is recognized all over the world whether on film, television, radio, CD, DVD, and now digital downloads.
Windy has enjoyed playing some prestigious venues over the past few years. Windy graced the stage as a headliner for the second time at the Dakar Goree’ Jazz Festival in Senegal. A return engagement at Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC was her next stop. Then Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society in Half Moon Bay, and Yoshi’s in Oakland CA with the Azar Lawrence Experience. Other notable concerts were in her hometown San Pedro at the Warner Grand Theatre, where she headlined and produced the third annual San Pedro Music Festival, and Alvas, the legendary Vanderlip Estates. She premiered her one-woman show Secrets of Shady at the Grand Annex Music Hall in San Pedro and was invited to perform at the Havana Jazz Festival in January 2024. Windy is currently producing the 4th annual San Pedro Music Festival scheduled for Saturday, September 14th at the Brouwerij West in San Pedro. In October she will perform in Rio de Janeiro. She is also writing her first novel along with co-writer, Carla DuPree Clark, entitled Secrets of Shady. The book is scheduled for release in early 2025.
